"To PROMOTE, PRESERVE, PERPETUATE, AND IMPROVE SWING DANCING AS AN ART FORM AS WELL AS COORDINATE AN ANNUAL TOUR OF SWING DANCE COMPETITION EVENTS FOR THE PURPOSE OF AWARDING POINTS AND PRIZE MONEY FOR COMPETITORS PLACING IN THE EVENTS."

In 1995 the National Association of Swing Dance Events (NASDE), an organization of autonomous swing dance events, was formed. The objectives of the Association are to promote, preserve, perpetuate, and improve swing dancing as an art form as well as coordinate an annual cycle of swing dance competition events for the purpose of awarding points and prize money for competitors placing in the events.

The 12 Event NASDE Tour distributes $12,000 in prize money to the top 10 Male and the top 10 Female competitors on the tour, based on total points awarded throughout the tour.

Each year, Dallas D.A.N.C.E. sponsors the Labor Day competition of the NASDE Tour.

Please visit the N.A.S.D.E. website for more information about upcoming tour events.
